Ramesh Alawa from Madhya Pradesh is a commercial painter with Dulux whose livelihood was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. His job can’t be done remotely, and earning a living during lockdown was hugely stressful for the whole family.
One day, Ramesh’s leg began to pain him. It started small, but over a few days it got progressively worse.
AkzoNobel India, the makers of Dulux, advised Ramesh to get help through AarogyaSakha, the company’s telehealth project run in partnership with Telerad Foundation. RxDx physicians used video calling to see Ramesh, and with the right follow-ups and treatment, he made a full recovery. Ramesh’s daughter Pooja, who suffered from low blood pressure, also consulted physicians through AarogyaSakha. They prescribed medication, diet and exercise, and under their care, Pooja’s health was back on track.
Father and daughter have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the project, which brings the best healthcare to the commercial painter community nationwide.
For those who work hard to make ends meet, health can easily take a backseat. Telehealth makes it possible for these hardworking people to care for their health without sacrificing time and earnings, and boosts their confidence by telling them clearly that they are valued and cared for.
