Dutch Embassy Officials visit the AkzoNobel CSR projects in Begur, Hoskote on February 17th, 2023

77 million cases in India make us the Diabetic capital of the world. Prevalence of DM and impaired fasting blood glucose (IFG) in India was 9.3% and 24.5% respectively. Among those with DM, 45.8% were aware, 36.1% were on treatment and 15.7% had it under control. To address this growing health concern, the Telerad Foundation conducted diabetes screening and awareness camps at the eAarogyakendra sponsored by AkzoNobel India.

The camp featured diabetes screening, consultation with Dr Latha C, General Practitioner Telerad Foundation and further consultations with diabetologists via telehealth based on GP recommendation, diet counselling, and medicine distribution. The significance of lifestyle modifications through proper diet, exercise, sleep, regular screening, consultation, and prescription compliance in the efficient management of Diabetes and other non-communicable diseases were explained to the beneficiaries during the camp.

Dutch Embassy Officials His Excellency, the Consul-General for South India, Mr Ewout de Wit and Deputy Consul General for South India Mr Heine Lageveen visited the eAarogyaKendra, Begur, Hosakote taluka, Bangalore Rural district in Karnataka on February 17th, 2023. The officials inaugurated the diabetes health camp conducted by the AkzoNobel-Telerad Foundation and interacted with the beneficiaries.

The camp was also graced by Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, Co-Founder, Telerad Foundation and CEO Teleradiology Solutions.
