Live to Give, authored by Rashmi Bansal and published by Accelerate Indian Philanthropy (AIP), brings together sixteen stories of individuals who are redefining philanthropy in India. It highlights how wealth, when guided by intent and compassion, can be channelled to create enduring systems of change.
The anthology features Dr Sunita Maheshwari and Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, Founders of Telerad Foundation, whose work demonstrates how technology and innovation can make quality healthcare accessible to remote and underserved communities. From teleconsultations that bridge healthcare gaps to programmes that build local capacity, their story reflects a model of giving that empowers others and sustains itself through collaboration and purpose.
The same philosophy extends into People4People — an initiative they founded to champion every child’s right to play. Through playground installations in government schools, rainwater harvesting, urban afforestation, and livelihood creation in play infrastructure, People4People promotes holistic community well-being rooted in play, sustainability, and shared growth.
Together, their journey illustrates that giving is not a single act, but a continuum — one that nurtures health, happiness, and hope across generations.
