Mega Health Camp for Truck Drivers & Allied Population
Project: Apollo Tyres Healthcare Centre, Yeshwanthpur
Under: Healthcare for Long Distance Truckers and Allied Population
Event Location | Date: Apollo Tyres Healthcare Centre, D Devaraj Urs Trucks Terminals (DDUTL) Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, Karnataka | 23 December 2025
Background
Truck drivers and allied workers operate in demanding environments characterised by long hours on the road, physically intensive routines, irregular food habits, and limited opportunities for routine health check-ups. These factors place them at higher risk for both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
To address these occupational health challenges, Apollo Tyres Foundation organised a one-day Mega Health Camp on 23 December 2025 at the Apollo Tyres Healthcare Centre, DDUTL, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. The camp was designed to strengthen preventive care and early diagnosis for truck drivers and allied populations moving through one of Bengaluru’s busiest transport corridors.
The programme was implemented by Telerad Foundation, with clinical and diagnostic support from RxDx Clinics, Bengaluru. Healthcare services were delivered at the Apollo Tyres Healthcare Centre within the Yeshwanthpur truck yard, allowing drivers to access medical care during scheduled halts and rest periods, without interrupting their work schedules.
