Patient Details: Abhay Kumar/Male/43 Yrs

PHC Name: Dungra, Vapi, Valsad, Gujarat

Presenting Complaint: Coughing and breathing difficulties

Consultation/Follow-up Date: January 31, 2025

Abhay Kumar, a 43-year-old electrician from Chhiri village, had been struggling to manage his diabetes and vision problems due to the lack of specialised medical services nearby. The nearest hospital was 20 kilometres away, making frequent visits expensive and time-consuming. With no easy access to expert care, he relied on home remedies and local healthcare, but his condition remained untreated and worsened over time.

That changed when his son introduced him to the Phygital Centre and GNM Jashoda. During his visit, he consulted Dr Sharath BS, who guided him on managing his diabetes and referred him to an eye specialist for further evaluation. Since starting treatment, his blood sugar levels have stabilised, and he has adopted healthier eating habits, leading to a noticeable improvement in his overall well-being.

The Phygital PHC telemedicine centre has not only saved him time and money but also eased the financial burden on his family. Grateful for the accessibility and convenience of the service, Abhay Kumar highly recommends it to others in his community. He also suggests adding more support for elderly users, ensuring that even more people in rural areas like Chhiri village can benefit from expert medical care close to home.
