
Phygital PHC Centre Camps under Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan: 17th September to 02 October 2025
Dhoki, Dahiphal, Mangrul, and Terkheda in Dharashiv District, Maharashtra
As part of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (September 17 – October 2, 2025), the Phygital PHC Telemedicine Units in Dharashiv District are conducting a series of preventive health camps with a special focus on women’s health. These camps aim to provide early detection, medical advice, and access to essential health services in rural communities.
The Phygital Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Dhoki, Dahiphal, Mangrul, and Terkheda are hosting dedicated camps starting September 17, offering:
- Eye Screening – for refractive errors and diabetic retinopathy
- Breast Cancer Screening – targeting early detection for women
- Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) – for lung health assessment
During the camps, Medical Officers, Community Health Officers (CHOs), ASHA workers, and the Phygital PHC team including Ms. Surekha, Ms. Priya, Ms. Padmini, Ms. Sukeshani, and Optometrist Ms. Sujatha ensured smooth coordination and compassionate service delivery.
Key outcomes so far:
- 453 beneficiaries screened for eye conditions
- 369 women underwent breast cancer screening
- 256 individuals availed PFT services
- 279 patients received teleconsultations from specialists
Beneficiaries also received comprehensive consultations covering diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, ENT, gynaecological, paediatric, and other general health concerns. Generic medicines were provided by the Health Department of Maharashtra.
The Phygital PHC Telemedicine Centre project is supported through Bayer’s CSR program and implemented by the Telerad Foundation, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the National Health Mission, Maharashtra, and the District Health Administrations of Dharashiv and Buldhana. The initiative enhances rural healthcare by combining on-site and telemedicine services, while promoting awareness about health, hygiene, and nutrition.
