
Phygital PHC Centre Camp Diary: 27th to 29th October 2025
Galag, Idapanur, and Nagral in Raichur District, Karnataka
A Breast Cancer Screening (BCS) Health Camp was successfully organized across three Phygital PHC Centres — Galag, Idapanur, and Nagral — in Raichur District, Karnataka, from 27th to 29th October 2025.
The camp emphasized early detection, preventive awareness, and community outreach to promote women’s health in rural areas. The initiative saw active participation from Medical Officers, Community Health Officers (CHOs), and ASHA workers at each PHC, ensuring effective coordination and patient engagement.
A total of 144 women were screened for breast cancer through clinical breast examinations conducted by trained medical professionals. In addition, beneficiaries received counselling on breast self-examination techniques, preventive care practices, and awareness of early warning signs related to breast health.
The camps were coordinated and implemented by Ms Sabha Ahmed, Ms Oliviya Joshy, and Mr Athul George from the Telerad Foundation, who oversaw operations across all three Phygital Centres, ensuring smooth execution and compassionate service delivery.
Beneficiaries also availed general health consultations, addressing concerns related to diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, ENT, gynaecological, paediatric, and other common health conditions.

During the visit, Ms Dhanalakshmi Ramachandra and Mr Athul George from the Telerad Foundation met Dr Suresh Babu, District Health Officer (DHO), Raichur, to share updates on the ongoing Phygital PHC operations and their impact. The DHO expressed positive feedback and appreciation for the initiative’s contribution toward enhancing preventive healthcare access for communities in the district.
