
Phygital PHC Sub-Centre Camp Diary: 29th July to 2nd August 2025
Matera and Ramwapur PHC centres in Bahraich District, Uttar Pradesh
We are pleased to share the successful completion of an Eye Screening and Breast Cancer Screening (BCS) health camp at the Phygital Primary Health Centres in Matera and Ramwapur, Bahraich District, Uttar Pradesh.
With the active involvement of Medical Officers, Community Health Officers (CHOs), and ASHA workers, the camp provided essential preventive healthcare services to the rural population.
Key Screening Outcomes:
- 240 individuals screened for Diabetic Retinopathy
- 246 individuals screened for Refractive Errors
- 114 women underwent Breast Cancer Screening
Led by GNMs Ms Sonali and Ms Kalyani, the PHC teams ensured smooth coordination and delivered services with outstanding dedication across the four-day camp.
Beneficiaries received comprehensive consultations covering:
- Ophthalmic conditions
- Diabetes and hypertension
- Anaemia
- ENT issues
- Gynaecological and paediatric concerns
- Other general health conditions
We extend our sincere thanks to the Health Department of Uttar Pradesh for supplying generic medicines, ensuring timely support for those in need.
This health camp was conducted under the Phygital PHC initiative, a CSR project by Bayer, implemented in collaboration with the Telerad Foundation, aimed at strengthening primary healthcare in underserved regions.
Additionally, we’re pleased to share that representatives from the Telerad Foundation, Ms Olviya Joshy and Mr Athul George, visited Bahraich District on 31st July 2025 to present the teleconsultation report and case studies from the Phygital PHCs in Matera and Ramwapur.
During the visit, they met with Dr Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bahraich, to formally hand over the report, highlighting key patient impact stories, teleconsultation trends, and successful interventions delivered through the Phygital model.
Mr Brijesh Singh, Facility Manager, was also present during the meeting and actively contributed to the discussions on strengthening healthcare operations at the ground level.
